Michael & tim @ the ace hotel

I fell in love with these 2 sweeties instantly- both creative artists & designers, they pulled together one of the most beautiful weddings I have ever seen! (I love you beautiful dudes so bad…!)

** Update! This stunning wedding was featured on 100 Layer Cake today, check out tons more photos and lots of great info here.

Venue: Ace Hotel, Commune, Palm Springs, CA / Invitation Design, Event Art Direction, & Fabric Design:Michael Frey, Groom and artist / Florist, Event Design: Bobe Vagell & Todd Hughes / Officiant: Pam Butler, friend and artist / Cake: Jodi Rhoden, friend and baker, Short Street Cakes, Ashville NC / Videographer – Super 8: Lauren Graham, friend and filmmaker / Musical performance during ceremony: Crash Richard, friend and lead singer of The Deadly Syndrome / On site coordinator: Hilary Gulch / Day of coordinator: Celebrations of Joy / DJ: Joe Armenia, friend and music maven / Custom made, white gold rings by: Fay Andrada
I love this simple, beautiful list of tips from Michael & Tim on wedding planning:
– hire great vendors, and TRUST them to do their jobs
– accepts the talents of your friends, when they are offered
– everything will work out

And I just saw what they said about me on 100 layer Cake! (ah! I love you guys!!):
“One of our biggest, and smartest investments, was photography. As I’m sure many folks know, it’s not cheap to find a decent photographer. Michael and I feel like we won the lottery with Noa / Feather Love. She was so fantastic to work with, a pleasure to have at our wedding and someone we hope to stay friends with. Her work speaks for itself. We could not be happier.”
Gentlemen- Pool party. My place. This summer. I’m dead serious! xoxo

  1. yay!! everything about this wedding was so awesome!! so happy I could be there to witness it! you create and capture beautiful radness as always!!

  2. Noa! I’ve had this wedding bookmarked since you first posted it. I was hoping to feature it on a Friday dance and am finally doing so (with full credit and links OF COURSE…and praise…lots of praise). I don’t think I have a single male reader, let alone a gay one, so this wedding probably only appeals to me. But hopefully when my readers see the amazing love between these two, captured beautifully by you, they’ll understand why I couldn’t resist posting it. : O )
